My Favorite Season

Most people would think that with me being a teacher, that I would claim summer as my favorite season.  But, that would be incorrect.  My favorite season by far is FALL.  I love to breathe the cool air and watch the colors of the world change right before my eyes.  But there are other reasons too.  Fall is football season.  And there is nothing better than watching Bama play.  Roll Tide Roll!!  And lastly, three of my favorite holidays are in fall... Halloween, Thanksgiving, and My Birthday!

I am just so pleased with the finished product of this card.  The cake is cut from SWEET TREATS, and the pumpkin and leaves are cut from the SPEAKING OF FALL cartridge.  I embossed the card base and the cake using the Cuttlebug.  After embossing the cake, I used a tan Color Box stamp to go over the embossing of the cake.  The paper, and rhinestones are from The Paper Studio.  The ribbon was in my stash.  And the little leaf brad is from Oriental Trading.  I am not sure where the sentiment stamp came from.  But I do know I really like this card.  Maybe because it reminds me of my favorite time of the year.

  6. You crack me up, Charlotte! Yes, we are neighbors, southern girls, and we agree that the SEC rocks! My grandma was born and raised in Fairhope, AL and graduated from Auburn. My daddy was born in Mobile, AL and moved to Florida when he was 10. My better half was born and raised in Gurley, AL (just outside of Huntsville) -- so I guess I have a tiny bit of Bama blood running thru my veins. But I BLEED orange and blue, girlie! Heck, my car is even Gator blue with orange pinstripes and a big ole' Gator head in the back window!

I'm a new follower -- you make some pretty cool stuff for a Bama Fan!! LOL, just kidding!

Thanks for the nice comment -- I always like to explain what and how I make things so others might learn a new trick or two. I mean, after all, what's the point in sharing if you aren't going to share how you did it?
