My Sheri Craft #135 Three In A Row

Hi everyone!  I am back from my absence with the team and so glad to be here.  I am been extremely busy completing my last year of 37 teaching kindergarten.  Packing up 37 years of my life and moving things was interesting, sometimes difficult, and sometimes exciting.  I am now officially a retired teacher!

I am excited to participate in our challenge this week Called Three In A Row.

I chose to use items in the last vertical row of the game.  I have embossed paper,  flowers and pearls on my card.

I hope you will join our challenge and post your project on the My Sheri Crafts blog, HERE.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back often.

Irish You The Best!!!

Hi! and welcome!!! Well March is here, Daylight Savings Time is with us , Spring is right around the corner, and the wearing of the green day will be here is less than a week.  St Patrick's Day is always a fun day with friends and especially fun in my kindergarten classroom.  We all wear green and eat all kinds of green things.  We do a mini unit on Ireland and listen to lots of Irish music.  We play games and I have all kind of things for the prizes.  I also have cards for the children.  Take a look at this cutie.

The little dog with the shamrock is a digital stamp from http://www.papercraftingworld.com.  I colored the little dog to look like a King Charles Spaniel all dressed up for the Wearing of the Green.  The sentiment is also a Paper Crafting World digital stamp.  I added a little yellow and green ink to the edges and layered it to dark green paper.  I used Spellbinder dies to cut and emboss the two images.  I decided to add the cute polka dotted ribbon to the card and then embellish it with sone glittered shamrocks.  Happy Saint Patrick's Day to one and all!!!

Happy Birthday, 105 Years Old!!

Hello everyone and welcome on this glorious day!  I am just so excited to be here and share a special card I made for a special friend.  My dear friend Ruth turned 105 on February 14th!  Is that amazing or what!!!  Yes, she is 105 years old, lives independently in her house.  She does her own yard work, knits caps for babies born premature, cans lots of vegetables in the summer, and best of all, makes a carmel cake to die for!!  And she does all of this without wearing hearing aides or eyeglasses.

I made this card for Ruth's birthday.  I know how much she likes pink and loves flowers.  The cute cake is a digital stamp from Paper Crafting World.  I did a little inking around the edgeswith some pink and them added the little flowers. The flowers are gummed stamps from Jolee's Boutique.  I also created a border for the card with hearts.  (I just had to add the hearts border with her birthday beingon Valentines Day)!  I topped that border with a flowered trim that I had in my sewing stash.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is also a digital stamp from Paper Crafting World.  It too was inked with some pink. Now I know that you would like to see a photo of my friend, Ruth, so……… HERE SHE IS!!

This photo was taken of us at her party.  Isn't she just adorable. Thank you for joining us today.  Come back often for more fun projects.

Lots of Love Blog Hop

Welcome to the Lots of love blog hop. We are so glad you have joined us today! There are only 8 stops along the way. So this will be a quick and inspiring hop for your Valentine's Day crafting. If you came from Sue's blog at http://suecrease.blogspot.com) then you are in the right place. The hop starts with Melin at My Paper Crafting so be sure to head over there and catch every stop along the way.

As many of you know, I love my dogs and am an advocate for animal rights.  So my project focuses on puppies.

I began the card with the delightful little digi from Paper Crafting World.  Is it not just adorable!!  I used chalk to color the little puppies.  The embossed mats are cut from Spellbinder dies.  They are inked in  bronze.  I created the sentiment on the computer and framed it in a red swiss dot paper.  I added some fun little puffy hearts for the glitz.  And then completed the card with two pretty ribbons. All papers are from Martha Stewart.

If you would like to create something with these sweet little puppies, you can find them HERE.

To sweeten up the hop, we are giving away a $20 gift certificate to PCW as well as picking one person from each blog that leaves a comment for a free single svg or digi of their choice from PCW (sets no greater than $2.00).

The gift certificate will be drawn from one person who leaves a comment on any one of the 8 blogs participating. Via random selection.

The individual winners will be selected via random selection by the comments left on each particular blog.

Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog so you can increase your chances of winning!

Now on to Suzanne for some more fun!
Have a great day and come back to visit real soon!!

Hot Cocoa

Hi everyone!   I hope you are happy and warm on the very cold winter day.  And what better way to get nice and warm than a cup if hot cocoa.

The cute little bear with the cocoa is from Paper Crafting World.  Is it not just adorable!  The hot pink snowflake paper is from Recollections.  I'thought it was the perfect touch of color for my little winter card.  The sentiment was done on my computer. And I added the little polka dotted ribbon for a little whimsy and texture.

Please plan to join us this Saturday, right  at Paper Crafting World  for our first blog hop of 2014.  You are going to see so many fabulous projects and have such a great time. So mark your calendar.

My Sheri Crafts Digi Challenge

Hello and welcome back for the first  challenge of 2014 from My Sheri Crafts.  We have so many great challenges lined up for you this year.  You will not want to miss any of them.  Our design team is excited and ready to share new projects.  This week our challenge is hosted by our team leader, the ever so talented, Sheri, and she has chosen the theme, Delightful Digis.  I went to the Free Digital Stamps blog to find my digi.  This is a great resource.  Each day new sites are posted that are offering free digs.

I just loved this little Pennsylvania Dutch design.  It reminds me of some cross stitching I did as a child.  And later on I made a pillow of a design similar to this doing crewel work when I was in college many years ago.  Sounds like I'm living in the past doesn't it!  I decided to color the design using these little Twinkling H2O's paints.  It is hard to tell in the photo, but they are so bright and pretty and have the most amazing shimmer to them.  You can find them at Amazon.

I used two different cut and embossed Spellbinder mats to layer the image.  The papers are from DCWV and K&Co.  I inked the edges of the mats with a little gold and bronze. I cut a little Fluer Di Lis border with a Spellbinders die for the bottom of the card and then added a gemmed pink butterfly border from Micheal's to the top.  I used some gold and green crinkled ribbon to compliment the colors of the card.  The little "To Cheer You" sentiment is a stamp from Just Rite Stampers.

Please come and join us this week for our first challenge of the new year!  And i hope that 2014 will bring you much happiness, good health and peace.

Tea For Two

Hello and Happy New Year!!  I'm just delighted to be here with you.  Wow! has it been cold the last few days!!  I'm in Central AL and the tempreture at this very moment is 7degrees.  I don't even want to think about the wind chill.  One of my favorite things to do on days like this is stay inside, visit with a good friend, and enjoy a hot cup of tea.

I have a card to share with you today.  This sweet little card is 6.5 X 5 and is made with paper from DCWV.  I got the adorable little Tea For Two digital stamp from Paper Crafting World where you will find some of the cutest digital stamps and cut files!!  I added some white vintage lace with aping ribbon and bow.  And to complete the card I added a couple little buttons and the sweet little tag.  And here is the sentiment I have on the inside of the card.

Now, how is that for an invitation for a cup of hot tea and good company!  Stay warm and bundle up if you have to go outside.  The weather is surely frightful.
I am just so glad you came by for a visit.  {lease come by often and join in the fun of using the delightful digital stamps and cut files from Paper Crafting World.
