HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SHERI CRAFTS!

My Sheri Crafts is two years old!!  So we are celebrating!!  The challenge this week is to make a project for a young child's birthday.
I made a super big card for this super big birthday.  All of the papers I used to create this fun card are from my stash.  The HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment is from the CREATE A CRITTER cartridge.  I added a little glitter to the words and dotted in "i" in birthday with a little hot pink heat button.

The cute little critters and balloons are all from the BIRTHDAY BASH cartridge.  It just happens to be one of the most fun cartridges ever.  It is just all about partying down!!  All three of these little critters are ready to celebrate in their party hats.  These hats are from a patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.  I added a little glitter to the hats to jazz them up a bit.

We want you to help us celebrate this birthday by linking your birthday project for a young child  over at  My Sheri Crafts.  And while you are there, take a look at the adorable projects from our amazing DT.

Make Me Laugh!

Hello everyone.  It is time to get your humor on and think up some good pranks.  Reason?  Oer of my very favorite days is just around the corner.

APRIL FOOL'S DAY

This week  Cooking With Cricut wants you to make everyone laugh!!!  As we all know, "Laughter is the
Best Medicine".

Get a load of this performance!!  This production started with the TWINKLE TOES cartridge.  I used it to cut the stage and curtain.  And I could not resist having the little dancing poodle as the star of the show.  It too came from TWINKLE TOES.

Aren't these little sheep about the cutest ever.  They certainly have a lot of stage presence.  They are cut from the COUNTRY LIFE cartridge.  I really think they make the chorus line!!

After putting everything together, I gave this production lots of glitz by adding lavender glitter glue to the curtain, and iridescent glitter glue to poodle and sheep.  It was the least I could do for this award winning performance.

My sentiment here is from the Fashionable Friends  stamp set by K Andrew Designs.

Now I just had to add this to the inside of the card.

The sentiment here is from the ALL ABOUT ANIMALS stamp set.  This set is also from K Andrew Designs.

First I want to start by saying that this spring that one of our ministers will be celebrating 50 years in the ministry.  There is a special reception and celebration planned for him.  Isn't that a wonderful life.  He is not only a fabulous minister, but a great friend!!  I am so happy for him.  And he is still going strong!  I made this card to take to the Easter celebration and reception for him.

The papers are from K&Co and The Colorbok.  The cross and the Easter lilies are cut from the Cricut EASTER 2010 cartridge and the mat is a cut from ELEGANT EDGES.  I used a little bronze ink on the mat and the lilies.

I got the ribbon a couple of years ago at Hobby Lobby.

The sentiment is done using  stamp sets from K Andrew Designs

Cooking With Cricut # 78 Spring

This week the Challenge at Cooking With Cricut is to create a spring project inspired by a song.  My inspiration comes from the song BUILD ME UP BUTTERCUP by the Foundations.  What a a fun song to sing along with.  Oh, and I have torn up many a dance floors with this song.  It is a great song with great memories.

The card is made with paper from K&Co. the card base is cut from George and Basic Shapes.  The scallop frames are cut from ASHLYN'S ALPHABET.
The flowers are cut from the 50 STATES cartridge.  After attaching the flowers to the card, I added a gold pearl center to each flower and yellow glitter glue.

The butterfly is a cut from GIVE A HOOT.  I added orange glitter glue to the butterfly to glam it up a bit.  The flourish of gold gems is from Recollections.  And the sentiment is from a K Andrew Designs stamp set called Fashionable Friends.
While making the card I was listening to an old Foundations album and singing along.  I thought you too may want to hear the song, so here it is.

Please join us this week at Cooking With Cricut and link up your spring project inspired by a song.

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #81

Hello Everyone,  and thank you for dropping by.  There is a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts. This week the theme is EASTER.  Create a card / project using Spring's gorgeous pastels.
I used beautiful floral paper from K&Co.  The scalloped oval base is cut from the ELEGANT EDGES cartridge.  I added a portion of a smaller oval cut in purple behind the basket.  The Easter basket and eggs are cut from the DOODLECHARMS cartridge.  I scored the basket with diagonal lines.  The basket has a pink and white polka dotted ribbon around the rim that is adorned with three little pastel gems.  I added a pink and white polka dotted bow to the basket handle.

The chocolate bunny is cut from the GYPSY WANDERINGS cartridge.  Just for a little extra something, I added three little pink roses.  The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs stamp set, All About Animals.  The sentiment was given a little pink and yellow flower of gems for a little sparkle.

I think the card's inside is as pretty as the outside with these pretty spring colors.

Come join us this week at My Sheri Crafts and sow us your EASTER project in those pretty spring pastel colors.

Cooking With Cricut # 77 St Patrick's Day Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to the Cooking With Cricut St. Patrick's Day challenge.  The challenge is to use a rainbow or a rainbow color scheme.

The card is a very pale blue.  I used watercolor paper to paint the rainbow background.  The pot of gold and shamrocks are cut from the PAPER DOLL DRESS UP cartridge.  I tied a tiny gold rope around the pot.

I created the sentiment on the computer.  It is inked with pale blue.  I finished the card with a gold ribbon and bow.   This is a very simple card.  I wanted the painted rainbow to be a focal point of the card.

Please join us at Cooking With Cricut this week for a fun St. Patrick's Day challenge.  You may be lucky and win the challenge!!

Cooking With Cricut Cartridge Showcase

Hi everyone!!

The first card I have for you is a card of encouragement using the doily cut  of leaves and a sweet little layered  butterfly.

I added a border using an EK border punch, a few aqua gems and a sparkly bow.  The sentiment is from a K Andrew Design stamp set.  Don't you just love that doily of delicate leaves.  I can just think of so many ways to use the cut.

The next card is a little 3"x3" Valentine card.
This sweet little Valentine is made with a these adorable little love birds.  The birds were adorned with a tiny pink gems.  And the sentiment is a stamp from K Andrew Designs.  And the card was finished with pink and white twine.

This next card is a shaped card.

The pretty oval image cut includes pretty flowers.  I cut additional flowers for layering. The flowers are attached with brads from Oriental Trading.  The birdcage and bird are also a cut from the Sophie cartridge.  Tiny gems were added to the birdcage for a little bling.  The dress form is from the French Manor cartridge.  And the sentiment is from K Andrew Designs.

This next card is also a shaped card.  I just love this one and think that it would be great to make a set of these as note cards.
This is one of my favorite cuts which includes several layers.  I added a button for the center of the flower and some glitter glue for a liuttle sparkle.

Next is a little fun card I made for a friend.

Can't you just see all the possibilities using these cuts.  I love the style of this frame. With the addition of the gems it just takes on a new personality.  A little ribbon and bow along with the sentiment and this card is comoplete.  All of the paper for this card came from my scraps.  And the sentiment is another K Andrew Designs stamp.

Here is a birthday card I made using the Sophie cartridge.

Of all the cartridges I have, this is probably my favorite bird cut.  I have used it on several ocassions.   I especially like this one using the patterned paper.  And I think it shows well up against the brown background paper.

And lastly, I have a Christmas cardusing one of the card cuts from Sophie.

This card cut has the little trees cut out at the bottom.  I added a green paper to the inside of the card to show off the trees.  Tje two Christmas trees at the top pf the card are also from the Sophie cartridge.  They are topped with a beautiful layer cut.  The sleigh is a sticker from DCWV along with the papers  used to create the card.  I added a gold bow to complete the card.

Have a great day!!

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #80

Hello, and welcome to A Little Bit of Detail.  This week we are excited to have a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  The challenge is to make an EASEL CARD WITH A SHAMROCK.

It took me a while to decide what to do.  But once I had an idea, all things came together quickly. The IRISH TEA is a cut from the CRICUT LITE LOVE YOU A LATE cartridge.  The paper is from COLORBOK.  I just really love that pale aqua paper.  I thought the mug would be pretty in that color.  And the printed paper has the same color in the little flowers.  The printed paper is from my scraps.  I cannot remember what I used it for in the past.  But I am so glad I found it to use with this card.  I inked the IRISH COFFEE with bronze.

The shamrocks are cut from the CRICUT LITE CELEBRATE WITH FLOURISH cartridge.  After cutting the shamrocks, I added little green flower gems to them.

The stamp is from STUDIO G.  i got it last year right after ST PATRICK'S DAY.  I never could find  one before the day.  Isn't that always the way it is.  And I finished the card with a sparkly green ribbon and bow.  I got the ribbon at Michael's around Christmas. I love this ribbon.  Next year I am buying more of it.

I love easel cards.  I just think they always have such a great look about them.  i should make more.  Please go and visit My Sheri Crafts where you can see the wonderful projects by our Design Team.  And then get your green on and enter your EASEL CARD WITH A SHAMROCK!  I look forward to seeing what you create.
