I'm Back After A Year

It is great to be back blogging again.  I have been very busy with family and the death of my sweet daddy.  I have been painting a good bit this year. I'm getting ready for an art show this Saturday.  If you happen to be in the area, come by the Vestavia Hills Civic Center for a visit.  It is the annual Central Alabama Artist Guild Show.  There are 50 artist showing this year.  And the variety of art is fantastic.  Here are a few florals I have done.  These are quite small and can be used in most any room.

Summer Flowers On A Wintry Day

This week has been extremely cold for Central Alabama.  We have had snow and ice on the ground.  So that means a lot of time inside.  So I decided to do some painting.  I thought summer flowers would warm us up.
This painting is on a 10 X 10 wood panel.  Doesn't it just make you smile!  It is entitled,

Joyful!

This next painting is also done on a wood panel.  It is 12 x 12.  And it is entitle

Freshly Picked

This last little painting is on a 6x6 Wrapped Canvas.  And I call it,

On The Windowsill

I hope that you and your family are staying warm, wherever you may be.

Handmade Art and Pickin' In The Park

What a fabulous day it was this past Sunday in Homewood Park.  Beautiful Art and Great Music, are two of my favorite things.  When you put them together on a pretty Sunday afternoon in October, well, it just does not get much better.

Just a few photos of my tent and some of my artwork.  It was a very successful day.  I sold several paintings of various sizes, and numerous little pumpkin paintings.   And if you noticed the little dog bed and water bowl.  Well that is because my little fun fellow Captain was at there with me.  He loves to go to art shows and greet all the two and four legged friends.  He had so much fun!

I'll be back at the easel tomorrow preparing for holiday shows.

Fall Wreath, The Beginning of my Decorating

Many years ago, I cross stitched a banner for a grapevine wreath.  I added some sunflowers and a bow to complete it.  For about fifteen years that wreath spent its life in the attic.  Well, I decided to give it a new look and use it.  So, here it is on my front door.

I just love making old things new again.

Pelham's Golden Anniversary

I recently participated in the Golden Anniversary Celebration for the city of Pelham.  It was a pleasure to be invited to join other artist in a good show.
Here are some photos of my booth.

It is always fun to meet other artists, make new friends and sale paintings.

My Sheri Craft #135 Three In A Row

Hi everyone!  I am back from my absence with the team and so glad to be here.  I am been extremely busy completing my last year of 37 teaching kindergarten.  Packing up 37 years of my life and moving things was interesting, sometimes difficult, and sometimes exciting.  I am now officially a retired teacher!

I am excited to participate in our challenge this week Called Three In A Row.

I chose to use items in the last vertical row of the game.  I have embossed paper,  flowers and pearls on my card.

I hope you will join our challenge and post your project on the My Sheri Crafts blog, HERE.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back often.

Art In The Hills Was Great!

The art show this past Saturday was fantastic!  I saw so many people I had not seen in a while and love visiting with them.  There was a great variety of art styles at the show.  I only wish I had more time to visit the other artist.  Here are a couple of photos of my place.  I was in a great location and the weather was perfect!!!

I sold seven paintings!!
