It's Picking Time

Hi everyone!!

Fall is here and that means it is time to pick apples and pumpkins!!  So the challenge this week at My Sheri Crafts is to create a project that includes either an apple or pumpkin.

All paper used to create this card came from my stash.  The top mat was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  I inked oner the pumpkins and vines so they would show up better.  The apples were cut from the Cricut cartridge Serenade.  And the pumpkin is cut from the Cricut cartridge Mini Monsters.  I did some inking on the apples and pumpkins so they would have some depth.  The sentiment is from the Joy's Life stamp set, "It's All FallPuns".

I finished the card with a few autumn colored gems and an little ribbon and bow.A great big Happy Fall Ya'll!!!  Come join in the challenge at My Sheri Crafts!!  And while you are there check out all the wonderful apple and Pumpkin projects our design team has to inspire you!

Apples And Honey

The new challenge this week at Cooking With Cricut is in honor of Yom Kippur.  The challenge is to create a project with honey and or apples.  I decided to use both honey and apples.  Here is my card.

The honey pot was cut from the Just Because cartridge.  I used just a bit of bronze ink around the edges of the pot.  The pie, rolling pin and apples are all from the Country Life cartridge.  This just happens to be one of my favorite cartridges.  I used a little gold and bronze in on the piecrust.  And I used a little bronze and copper in on the apples and rolling pin.  The sentiment, "love you to the core" is from my newest stamp set.  The set is called It's All Fall Puns from Joy's Life.  I just thought the rolling pin was the perfect place for the sentiment!!  All of the papers I used are from my stash.  And the wonderful checkered ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, in the Christmas dept.

Thanks for stopping by to enjoy some honey and apples.  Please take a look at the great projects the design team has  at Cooking With Cricut.  While you are there, join the challenge and link up your project.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you come back often.

Cricut Cartridge Showcase: Autumn Celebrations

H everyone!  I am so glad you dropped by.  Today, I am showcasing the Autumn Celebrations cartridge over at  Cooking With Cricut.  T have made to showcase this great cartridge.hese are the projects I

This cartridge has so many wonderful images.  AND it also has great layers, phrases with layers, tags and cards!!  How great is that!

The first project I want to share with you is a card bringing Autumn Greetings.

This pumpkin is one of my favorite images on the cartridge.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye, Core Creations and Recollections.  The little leaves are also from the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.  Aren't they pretty little leaves.  I did some inking with burnt orange, bronze and brown inks from ColorBox.

These great little gems, I found a couple of weeks ago at Hobby Lobby.  They have the look of animal skins.  I just love them and have found that they can be used in so many ways.

And here I chose to use one of my favorite stamps for fall.  I completed the card with a big bow with ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby.  I just think it really completes the card with a lot of class.
Next, I have another card here that just speaks Fall.  I made this a shaped card using the acorn cut on the cartridge

The papers I used are from K&Company and Recollections.  I added some ecru lace from my stash.  The flower is cut from the Flower Shoppe cartridge.  It is inked with brown and given an orange gem center.I also added a bow made with embroidery thread and a large bow made with sheer orange ribbon.  I love this ribbon.  It is from Jo Ann's and comes in a variety of colors.

The inside of the card was so much fun to make.

The little squirrel is a cut from the Give A Hoot cartridge.  And the oh so cute sentiment is from my newest set of stamps,"It's All Fall Puns" from Joy's Life.  This entire set is too cute for words!

Now, on to the next project.
This next card was made using the card feature from the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.

This particular image has several different layers with are fabulous.  But for this card I only chose two.  I added little gems for the eyes.  Now, for the inside, I added the phrase cut that accompanies this image.  So fasten your seat belts, because you are going to love it!

Is't it the perfect phrase!  And I especially love the way it is shaped.

Here is a card I made featuring one of the beautiful Phrases and the phrase layers.

I used paper from Recollections and K&Company. I embellished the card with little gem and gem leaves.  And I added Stickles to the word "Grateful".  I just really wanted that word to pop!

Now for my last project from the  Autumn Celebrations cartridge.  It seems as though every week, I hear of someone new has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  I seem to always have a need for cards of encouragement.  When I saw that the Autumn Celebrations cartridge had this beautiful image cut, I just knew I had to buy the cartridge.

The papers are from K&Company as well as the embellishments.  This is probably one of my favorite Cricut cuts for breast cancer awareness.

I added some Stickles to the blue ribbon and flower. Gems were added to the corners and the flower center.  The corners were created with a corner punch from Fishers.  I added four little dimensional stickers to the bottom of the card.  I think they are so sweet and just give the card a little more love.

I am delighted you chose to visit today.  i do hope you will return often.

Cooking With Cricut Challenge: Texture

This week the challenge at Cooking With Cricut is use texture in your project.  Now this could be many things, so think we will see a lot of texture in a lot of ways.  I made a card for fall.

The background of the card is made with a M-BOSSIBILITIES folder from Spellbinders.  The name of the folder is Flora-Flora-Flora.  After the embossing, I dabbed the embossed area with several inks in fall colors.

The border was made with a Martha Stewart border punch.  I threaded a pretty brown ribbon through the border and then tied a bow.

The leaf flourish is a cut from the Damask Decor cartridge.I also inked it with fall colors.  And for more texture, I added a little raffia to the card.  The sentiment is from an Ink A Dink A Do fall stamp set.  After stamping the sentiment, I used some of those fall color inks around the edges of the sentiment.

So, there it is, my card with some different textures.  It was a fun card to make and yet very easy.  I hope you will join our challenge this week at Cooking With Cricut.  I look forward to seeing all the texture you have in your project.

Cooking With Cricut Card Outreach

Happy Wednesday and welcome to the Cooking With Cricut  challenge.  This week our challenge is to make fun, (not scary) Halloween cards for Madison's IFEEL THE LOVE PROJECT.

The "I Feel the Love" Project for September is to make Halloween Cards to be given to the kids who live at Casa Pacifica.   Casa Pacifica serves abused and neglected children and adolescents, and those with severe emotional, social, behavioral, and mental health challenges on California’s Central Coast.  Each year the facility has an amazing Halloween party for the kids. It is IFTL's goal to send a card to each of the 70 children who reside there.  (For more information about Casa Pacifica please visit their website.)

This fun Halloween card began with an embossed background created with a Spellbinder M-Bossibilities folder.  I used the the Happy Hauntings cartridge to cut out the cat.  Then I added a cute bow to his tail and gave him some shiny green eyes.  The cute little candy corn pieces are cut from the Smiley Cards cartridge.  All of the paper I used is from Recollections.  And the sentiment is from a Just Rite Stampers Mini Halloween set.

You should really check out the cute cards made by our design team over at Cooking With Cricut.  They are all fabulous!  But please join our challenge make a fun Halloween card for these sweet children and link it up over at the I Feel The Love Project.

I'm so glad you came by for a visit.  Hope to see you back real soon!

Cooking With Cricut Color Challenge

This week the new challenge at Cooking With Cricut is a color challenge.  Take a look at these colors.  What a great color combo.

I made an A2 card using papers from Recollections and My Mind's Eye.

I used a Martha Stewart Punch to create the tri-colored border at the top of the card.  The handbag is cut from the Paisley cartridge.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder to emboss the handbag.  And then I inked it with a little tan ink from ColorBox.  The clasp of the handbag is a brad I found in my stash.  I though it was the perfect size and gave the handbag a great look.  The sentiment is from a Scrappy Mom's Stamp set.

I can think of many ways I can use this card.  I'm thinking I may make a few more just to keep on hand.
I hope you will join our color challenge this week.  Just head over to Cooking With Cricut and get some more inspiration from our talented design team.  And remember to link your project up for the challenge.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope to see you back real soon!!

White On White

Hello everyone!  It is Labor Day Weekend and that means we will be wearing less white in a few days.  I remember growing up with the rule "do not wear white before Easter or after Labor Day".    So we hare having a White on White Challenge at My Sheri Crafts.

This is an A2 card to accompany a wedding gift for a friend's daughter.  The embossed background was done with  a Cuttlebug Fleur De Lis folder.  In using the same theme, the border was cut from a Spellbinder Fleur De Lis Bordabilities.  The sweet roses were also cut with a Spellbinder die.  It is the Spiral Blossom One die.  This has become one of my favorites for creating flowers.  And the leaves are  also from a Spellbinder die set.

The sentiment is from the Just Rite Wedding Nested set and stamped on a label from Spellbinder Fancy Tags Three.  I just love this tag set.  The tags are beautiful and can be used in so many ways.  I completed the card with some Recollection white pears.

Please Go visit My Sheri Craft and see all the wonderful projects our design team has for our inspiration.  I hope you will join our challenge this week.

Happy Labor Day.
