My Sheri Crafts Mother's Day

My Sheri Crafts is getting ready for Mother's Day.  We are sharing cards that show something about our mothers.  My mother's favorite color is green.  So I knew I had to use green as the main color of the card.

I have watched my mother write cards, notes and letters to people for years.  She has a writing desk for this.  So I decided to use the writing desk on the Cricut cartridge Sentimentals.  As long as I remember there has been this little lamp with a black shade sitting on the right side of the desk.  So, I used the little lamp on the Sentimentals.  After cutting it out, I inked it in bronze just to give it a vintage look.

My mother and I share a love for country french design, so that is what led me to the chair, also on the sentimentals cartridge.  The damask print on the chair actually reminds me of a chair my mother has.

When putting the card together, I added a little ecru lace to the card.  And the sentiment is from Just Rite Stampers.  I cut it out with a Spellbinders die.  After completing the card, I took a good look at it, and yes, it has my mother written all over it.

Join us at My Sheri Crafts for our Mother's Day challenge.  We want to see what makes you think of your mother.

CWC Cartridge Showcase: Give A Hoot

Today, I am participating in a showcase of the Give A Hoot cartridge over at My Paper Crafting.

My first card  is a sweet Easter card.  And I mean sweet because it is all about chocolate.  The eggs, flowers, and grass are all from the Easter 2010 cartridge.  And the adorable bunnie is cut from Give A Hoot.  The label, Capture, is from a set that I found in the $1.00 bin at JoAnns.  I added some green glitter glue to the grass and leaves and a sweet pink ribbon to the card to complete the project.

This next card I have is all about fantasy.  Isn't this little boat of critters from Give A Hoot just  full of all kinds of fun!  I added some little orange gems to the boat for and a sweet little heart sticker that says love.  The sentiment is from a K Andrew design stamp set.  And I just had to add the pretty sheer ribbon and bow to the card to complete the whimsy.

This next card has one of my very favorite owl cuts on it.  The card began with a sketch from  Mojo Monday.  I love the sketch and have used it often.  The owl and the leaves are from Give A Hoot.  And the sentiment, is from a stamp set I got from Oriental Trading.

And now here is aother card using the same owl cut.

This card begins with a doilie cut with a die from Cherry Lynn Designs.  The flourish of leaves is also from Cherry Lynn Designs.  this card has that same little adorable owl on it.  The olw is embossed with a leaves folder.  I added the little glittered flowers to give the branch a little pop!  The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs.  And the card is embellished with some little blue pearls and a pretty orange crinkle ribbon bow.

And now, here is one more card I wish to share with you.  I originally made this card for a previous cartridge showcase when I showcased the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.

The acorn shaped card is from Autumn Celebrations.  I added pretty ecru lace and a sheer ribbon to the front of the card.

This adorable little squirrel is a cut from Give A Hoot!  I just love it because of the beautiful cut design
on its tail.  I inked around the squirrel with bronze.

And I just had to share the sentiment with you.  I just don't think I could have found a better sentiment for this little squirrel and acorn card than this.  It is from a Joy's Life stamp set.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Please go and visit My Paper Crafting where you will see some other projects from the Give A Hoot cartridge.  Thanks for visiting today.  Have a great week!!

Arbor Day

Time for Arbor Day and the design team at My Sheri Crafts is ready to celebrate and we are asking you to join in the fun.

This A2 card begins with an ecru base.  I love this tree.  It is a cut on the Cricut Wall Decor and More cartridge.  I wanted to add some dimention and texture to the card.  So, I embossed the green mat with a whimsy leaves folder.  I then added an addition mat of muted greens and blues.  the mates are inked in bronze.  The sentiment is a sticker.  I just think it fits well with the looks of the card.  And, because I like embellishment so much, I just had to add the little gem cluster.

I think this next card just speaks Arbor Day!
This is also an A2 card.  It has a white base.  The papers for this card are from This & That by Lori Whitcock.  The apple tree is cut from the Cricut Freshly Picked cartridge.  I embossed the tan root bag to give it more of a burlap look.  The leaves cut of the tree is embossed with a leaves embossing folder. The tree sits on one of my favorite Spellbinders labels.  It is inked with gold.  The little sentiment tag is
from a stamp set I found in the $1.00 bin at JoAnns.  And I finished the card with a shiny green ribbon
 and three little green gems.

Please join us for our Arbor Day challenge by making a project with a tree, or something that represents nature.  Just go to My Sheri Crafts and add your project there.  You will also want to visit the blogs of the wonderful design team and see all the amazing projects they have created.

Hello and welcome.  Today My Paper Crafting is featuring TAGs and ATCs with metal.  How fun is that!!! so here is the tag I made for this project.

I cut the tag with the Tags Bags Boxes and More cartridge.  I used Kraft paper forthe tag base.  The bown printed paper for the base layer is from K&Co.   It was inked in gold and pink.  The decoratinve cut at the top of the tag is from Botanicals and inked in gold.  The little bird is cut from the French Manor cartridge. It is also inked in gold.  The border was done with an EK Success punch and inked in gold.  The little sentiment stamp is from a stamp set I got in the $1.00 bin at Michaels.

To embellish the tag, I chose a fleur de lis metal button and gold metal beads.  And the ribbon is paper ribbon from my stash.

Please visit My Paper Crafting where you will see all the beautiful pojects of our design team.  And then of course we want you to join in the challenge this week there too  Have a great day!

I made this shape card with a raindrop from the A Child's Year cartridge.  The umbrella, boots and flowers are all from the April Showers cartridge.  I did some inking with gold on the boots and umbrella.  I used papers from Echo Park for the card.

The grass cloud were hand cut.  And the cloud was embossed with the Divine Swirls cartridge.  I added some little blue gems to represent the rain.  And the sentiment is from an Inkadinkadoo stamp set.
