Fantabulous Cricut Challenge "SNOW FUN"

It is January and in many places, people are experiencing snow.  I only wish I could say it was here where I live.  Last year Alabama had a good bit of snow.  But, this year we have not seen any yet.  I am keeping my fingers crossed for that beautiful white blanket to come and cover the ground.

The challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut, is SNOW FUN.  Include a snowman or snowflake in the project.

First, I want to tell you about the paper.  I got this paper last year at The Oriental Trading Company.  I just love this series.  The paper is double sided and of excellent quality.  I just love the colors and all of the wonderful patterns.  The base mat is a lilac plaid.  The top mat is a patterned paper of many varieties. This paper is a compliment to the plaid base mat.  I cut the cake from the Cricut SWEET TREATS cartridge on white pa er.  I then embossed it with a Tim Holtz snowflake folder.  I used a lilac stamp to ink the embossing.  The cake also has scalloped aqua frosting on each layer that has been glittered.  the snowflake on top of the cake is cut from GYPSY WANDERINGS.  I added a few aqua gems to it.

The snowflake border is cut with an EK Success snowflake border punch.  The sentiment is from the Winter Wishes stamp set from K Andrew Designs.

I invite you to join all of  us at Fantabulous Cricut  for this weeks challenge of SNOW FUN!!

  11. OMGoodness Charlotte! This is just gorgeous! The colors you used are so pleasing to the eye. Very beautiful! You did an absolutely Fantabulous job! When I was a little kid, my dad was good friends (and I actually got to meet) the owner of Oriental Trading Company before they got huge. Isn't that crazy? This is before scrapbooking was really a "thing". :0) TFS your lovely talent with us!
