Its A Celebration!!!

Happy Happy New Year everyone!!  May this year be your very best ever!  On this first day of 2012 we are having a Simply Sunday challenge at Getting Cricky.  Theme for this challenge is ITS A CELEBRATION!  This could be a celebration of a new year, new job, new home, etc.  I am sure you get the idea.  I made a card in celebration of our new year.

The base of my card is ivory.  It is matted with lilac and olive card stock from DCWV.  The mat was embossed with a Damask folder.  The numerals were cut with the Base Camp cartridge.  I used a peacock feather paper from DCWV to cute the numerals.  And then I did a shadow cut using DCWV gold glittered paper.

  The piano was cut from the Summer in Paris cartridge with a teal Paper and then topped with a teal and gold print paper.  All of the papers are from the Royal Garden mat stack.  The piano is centered on a small white Dollie.

I added a teal sequined ribbon to the card just for a little more color and glitz.  I found the ribbon at Michaels a couple of days ago in the clearance stuff.  The label is cut from the Accents Essentials cartridge. 

 I then stamped the sentiment "Life Is Grand" on the label to complete the card.  The sentiment stamp is from K Andrew Designs.  The stamp is from a set called Positive Thoughts.  This stamp set is loaded with so many wonderful stamps that can be used in so many ways. 

These stamps are wonderful because they are made right here in the USA and $1.00 from each stamp set sold will be donated to charity.
