Adopt A Shelter Pet Hop

Hello, and welcome to A Little Bit of  Detail and the Cooking With Cricut "Adopt A Shelter Pet Hop"!  October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, but we wanted to celebrate and honor all of our furry friends!  If you've come from visiting Adrian you are in the right place.  If you just happened across my blog and would like to hop along with us, you can go to Cooking With Cricut and start at the beginning.

I am so thrilled to be a part of this blog hop because it means so much to me.  Last May, after the tornadoes tore through Alabama, I adopted a shelter dog. Her name is Ruby and she is a 3 lb. 4 year old, Maltese. She is the sweetest little dog ever! You can see a photo of Ruby on the right of my blog.  She is joined there by Jack and Magnolia, my two other little dogs.  I decided to make a Halloween card to take to the shelter and thank them for taking such good care of my sweet Ruby while she was in their care.  My class at school is collecting items for me to take to "treat" the animals at the shelter next weekend.  So here is my card.

I created the card using the Nate's ABC's cartridge.  The little dog, bowl, and the words Doggy Treats are all from the Nate's ABCs.  The "Trick or" stamp is from K Andrew Designs

I added a couple of puffy pumpkin stickers to the sentiment.  And I also added some puffy stickers to the dog bowl.

All of the paper I used to create the card is from K&Co.  The crinkle ribbon is from My Craft Spot.  And here is the inside of my card.

Isn't this just the perfect sentiment.  All of our furry friends are our best friends for eternity.  This stamp is from Joy's Life.  And I added a few more pumpkins to complete the look.

BLOG CANDY!!!!!!!

I will be giving away a Halloween Puns set of stamps from Joy's Life.  This is the set that includes the
 "Best Friends for Eternity" stamp.

If you would like the chance to win the stamp set, just follow my blog and tell me something about your favorite pet.  The winner will be randomly picked on Wednesday.

  1. love your card and the dog from Nates's ABC's is perfect.

One of the many things I love about my dogs are, they are snugglers - they love to jump up in the chair, couch, bed and just snuggle up as tight as they can against me.

  4. Awwww...love this!!!! I don't have any favorites when it comes to my fur babies. Past rescue yorky "Kodi" and "Harley" were my answer to more children when my boys went into the army...now I have added Rascal, Trixie, Biscuit and Baby Bear (who is expecting in 3 weeks.) My mom had a maltese which died shortly after she passed away...they were just inseperable.

  5. Adorable card, and it is sweet for you to give it to the shelter.

My favorite pet? I can't choose between my kitties. We have 2 sweet kitties, Friday Night and Prince Phillip. They are both special in different ways.

  6. Ok, how many adorable puppies can I see in one day? Ruby is the cutest. I love how you went to the shelter to get her. And the card you made is so clever and adorable. I am sure they will appreciate it!! One thing I love about my Chuck is that when it is time to eat, he brings me his bowl and then when I say, "Chuck, what about Rocky? he runs all over the yard and fund Rock's bowl and brings it to me too! Great hopping with you!
