Read Across America 2013

Hello, and welcome as we celebrate the NEA's Read Across America and Dr. Suess' Birthday.

YOU COULD NOT, WOULD NOT, WANT TO MISS,
A CELEBRATION SUCH AS THIS!!!

As part of this celebration, we, the design team at My Sheri Crafts are looking for projects about reading and books.  I have made this card for our school librartian.  She has been doing such a gret job with the children at our school and providing all kinds of events and activities as part of the celebration.

I made the card with K&Co paper.  The library shelf with the books and lamp is one of my new all time favorites.  It is from the Wall Decor and More cartridge.  It has been inked in brown.  The word "knowledge" is also from the same cartridge.  And for a little texture, I added a little piece of tea dyed lace.  Oh,  I cannot wait to give it to her Monday.  I know she will love it.

Come visit all the design team members at My Sheri Crafts and see their reading projects. We especially want you to join in the challenge.  Just remember...

YOU'RE NEVER TOO OLD,
TOO WACKY,
TOO WILD,
TO PICK UP A BOOK,
AND READ TO A CHILD!

Let's keep America reading!  Thanks for dropping by!

  6. Charlotte, the muted colors you used for this card is quite lovely. The vintage touch of the tea-stained lace ties everything together so well.
