Fall Out My Window

Hi everyone, and welcome!!  This week the challenge at Cooking With Cricut is a color challenge  with the addition of string, twine, hemp, etc.  I just love these beautiful fall colors and was so excited to use them in a project.

I made a card using these colors and some baker's twine.

I created the card with the Grand Madison window, shutters, and window box.  I just love these dies.  They cut pretty and can be used in so many ways.  I inked the shutters with tan and brown ink to give them a distressed cottage look.  The window is inked with a little tan and bronze ink.  All of the solid paper is from my stash and the patterned paper is from a new Recollections stack called "Night and Fall".  The little white mat and window shade were cut with Martha Stewart border punches.

The window box is full of pretty fall flowers from my stash, with leaves cut from Martha Stewart punches.  And the little pumpkin was created with circles cut with a punch and inked with bronze and copper.  The pumpkin stem was hand cut.

The sentiment is from Just Rite Stamps, Nature's Nested Sentiment set.  I inked the edge of the label with copper.  The little leaves hanging from the window are cut from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge. They are attached to a little yellow and white twine.

And there you have it, my color challenge card using twine.

I just think that when you copy someone's project that credit should be given.  So I want to say thank you to The Bug Junkie for sharing such a beautiful card that has provided great inspiration for my project.

Please join us this week at Cooking With Cricut  for this fun color challenge with string, twine, hemp etc.
