I used paper from My Mind's Eye and K&Co. I began by cutting a couple of rectangles and inking the edges with a brown ink pad. I added the borders which were cut with a Martha Stewart border punch and also inked in brown. The scalloped circles were cut from the GEORGE AND BASIC SHAPES cartridge and inked in brown.
I added a couple of flowers and leaves to the circle. They were cut from the CRICUT LITE LIVE SIMPLY cartridge. And then to give the card some character, I added a ladybug and grasshopper also cut for the LIVE SIMPLY cartridge. I covered the bugs in Glossy Accents to make their shells appear hard. And I gave the flowers and leaves a little sparkle with the use of green and orange glitter glue.
I decided that the card needed a little more bling, so I added some green gems to the bottom border of each rectangle. My sentiment is from a stamp set that I have had for a long time. Just a simple "Hello" is a good sentiment for any occasion. It was stamped in black and then the edges inked in brown.
I finished the card with a pretty crinkle ribbon bow. And I added a little button to the center of the bow, tied with a little twine. And that completes my buggy summertime card!
