So I had to do something to get my mind off all that is going on around here. I made this sweet birthday card for a sweet friend.
The base of the card I embossed with the Cuttlebug
I used the Cricut cartridges Preserves and Elegant Edges for the cuts. The papers I chose for the card are from DCWV and Colorbok. They were inked with a Tim Holtz tea dyed ink pad. I added a little dot of glitter glue to the center of each flower. The ribbon on the card is a pale sheer gold. But it appears brown in the photo. It is one of my favorite ribbons. And the "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from a Scrappy Mom's Stamp set. After I had finished the card, I decided the strawberries needed a little foam tape. I think that really helped to make them pop. I am quite pleased with the results.
