One of my projects yesterday was to get the bulletin board in the hall, outside of my classroom done. And I am so glad to have this opportunity to also share it with all my friends over at My Sheri Crafts. The challenge this week is BACK TO SCHOOL. So my project is a literal Back to School project. It is my hall bulletin board.
I just love decorating bulletin boards. This one was so much fun to make. I cut the tree out of colored butcher paper and created the coconuts by stuffing paper lunch sacks with newspaper. I just shaped them to look like coconuts. Then I added a pretty tropical bird to the tree.
The sentiment, Boom Chicka Boom was cut using the Plantim Schoolhouse cartridge. I also cut a bunch of circles from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I glued the polka dots to the letters. The bulletin board fort a lot of embellishment. I added Tiki lights and trim to the top pf the board. Some big orange summer flowers were added next. And a few felt flowers were added around the sentiment.
And then I completed the board with a couple of pretty pink polka dot bows in the top corners.
Thank you for dropping by as I get ready for a year school year. I will meet the children and their parents Monday morning. It will be so much fun!
