It is time for another Cooking With Cricut challenge. this week's challenge is CARNIVAL BIRTHDAY.
The card is 5"x 5" square. I used the BIRTHDAT BASH cartridge for the cute little characters and the BEOND BIRTHDAYS cartridge for the "Happy Birthday" sentiment. I cut small circles from the GEORGE AND BASIC SHAPES cartridge and placed them at the bottom of the stripes. They are partly showing under the orange and white dotted ribbon. All oif the papers for this card came from my stash. I think this is just a happy card with a carnival feel to it.
Please join me and other Design Team members in this week's challenge over at Cooking With Cricut. I can't wait to see what you come up with.!!
Can you believe it! This week the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is Celebrating its 100 challenges. That is 100 weeks of fun, friends, new ideas, lots of sharing, and lots of love. Fantabulous Cricut is one of the most viewed and successful challenge blogs for Cricut lovers. It was one of the very first challenges I ever entered. I became a big fan then and have remained one.
This 100th challenge week is my last week as a DT member. What a way to make an exit. Being a member of this DT has been such a honor and pleasure for me. I have made new friends, learned new techniques and tricks in paper crafting, and participated in some amazing blog hops!! To all you new DT members, I say,"Enjoy The Ride".
This week's challenge is to use the FCCB 3 colors
GREEN, PURPLE, and TURQUOISE.
When I found out the challenge involved using these three colors, I went straight to my big bin of trims. I knew I had the perfect trim for this challenge. I have had it for several years. I bought a huge Rubbermaid bin full of all kinds and colors of trim at an estate sale. Until this challenge, I just could not decide what I would do with this particular trim. Here it is!!
The turquoise damask paper is from a Recollections paper pack. I thought it would make a pretty background for the Cricut cut. This beautiful cut is from the Cricut cartridge DAMASK DECOR. I used three printed papers from the K&Company Abrianna Stack for this pretty cut. I added a few gems to give it a little pizazz. The green and purple mats are from ColorBok. I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the border. The sweet little bird is from the GIVE A HOOT cartridge.
I love crinkle ribbon. And this pretty ribbon and bow are from Kimberly at My Craft Spot. She has so many beautiful colors in this pretty ribbon.
The sentiment on the card is from the K Andrew Designs stamp set Crafty Friends.
Please join us at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog for the exciting 100th challenge!! The Design Team has some wonderful inspiration for you.
This week the Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky is Called Argh Matey. Make a project with a pirate or fish. OK, when you see what I have made you are going to question my logic. Well, now that I have my project made for the challenge I am questioning my logic as well. Without checking the project theme, I relied on my memory of what is was that I had read a few weeks ago. I guess my age is showing. So without saying anything else, here is my project.
I remembered the project was something related to a pirate. So I started looking at my fabulous K Andrew Designs Pirate Tales and Fish Scales Sentiment Stamps. And I saw the cute stamp that says, "Your Friendship is a Treasure". It was at that moment I decided to make a card with a treasure chest. Well, somewhere along the way, my "treasure chest" also became an old "chest in an attic".
My only explanation is that a couple of weeks ago my mom and I were up in her attic looking through my grandmother's old trunk. It was so much fun and we found several treasures! I guess that was still stuck in my mind.
I used the Cricut cartridge NIFTY FIFTIES for the dress form and the dress. The treasure chest is from the Cricut cartridge LIFE IS A BEACH. I added some old lace to the chest and filled it with multi colored gems.
I completed the card with a sheer turquoise ribbon and bow. This is some of my favorite ribbon. It is from JoAnn's and is a fabulous price for a large amount.
Please go and visit the DT over at Getting Cricky and see the wonderful projects they have created. But, mostly we want you to join in on our challenge this week. I am looking forward to seeing what you create with this theme in mind.

Now here is what I have made for Kristal.
The base of my card and bird cage were made with the SOPHIE cartridge. I also cut additional flowers from the cartridge to layer at the bottom of the card. The center of the flowers are brads from the Oriental Trading Co.
The dress form is cut from the FRENCH MANOR cartridge.
I tied a pretty oink crinkle ribbon bow on the dress form and added a Prima gem to the center of the bow.
The brilliant sentiment I added to the card is from the K ANDREW AMAZING YOU stamp set.
Hi Everyone, and welcome to a new challenge this week over at Cooking With Cricut. This week the challenge is to make a birthday project including a cake, cupcake or balloons. This challenge came at the perfect time for me because I needed to make a birthday card for my sweet niece. Today, Feburary 22nd is her 15th birthday. And here she is. I think she is beautiful! She is such a sweet girl. She has the kindest heart which is why she has so many friends.
I cut the cared from the WILD CARD cartridge using paper from DCWV. My niece will be 15 years old this week. And being a teenager, I thought I would go with bright colors for her card. And to make it a little more special, I added a pretty melon bow. Here is the inside of the card.
The HAPPY BIRTHDAY is also cut from the WILD CARD cartridge. I cut a few stars from the paper to decorate the inside of the card. And this is the outside of the card opened up.
I also wanted to show you some note cards I made for my niece for her birthday.
I thought these would be fun cards for her to use when she needed to send a thank you note to a friend.
I am so glad you dropped by today. Please go over to the Cooking With Cricut blog and join in on the birthday challenge this week.
It is mid February and rhe season is winter. So warm wishes are coming your way with a challenge from My Sheri Crafts. This week the challenge is ti make a project that will bring warm wishes.
I began the card with a Sizzix embossing folder. After embossing the mat, I used a god metallic ink pad to highlight the embossing. The teapot is cut from the Cricut cartridge A CHILD'S YEAR. And the tea cups and saucers are from the FROM MY KITCHEN cartridge. These are my very favorite teacups. I just love their shape and the little mark lines on them. I added a few pearl gems to the teapot and inked its edges in gold. I also inked the the teacups and saucers.
The paper used to create the card is all from the DCWV Linen Closet stack.
Please join us for this weeks challenge of WARM WISHES.
This week the Cooking With Cricut challenge is a sketch, and pick three, (ribbon, flowers, glitter, stickles, brads eyelets, border punch, chalk or ink. Here is the sketch.
And here is my card.
The card is 5"X6.5". The papers I used to create the card are from a Me and My Big Ideas Stack with the exception of the dark blue base mat. That is from ColorBok.
I used Versa and ColorBox ink on the edges of the mats and border. The border was done with a Martha Stewart border punch. The ribbon is some Holiday ribbon from Michaels. And the gems are are Recollection. I cut the leaf doily and butterfly from the SOPHIE cartridge.
The sentiment is from the K Andrew Designs Scripture Sayings stamp set.
The three items I chose from the list to use on my card are ribbon, a border punch and ink. This was really a fun project to create. I just love making a project from a sketch.
Please join us these week at Cooking With Cricut for a fun SKETCH + THREE challenge.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see you again real soon.
It is time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week we are going to have fun with puns. We want to see those puns, and some humor in your projects this week. Here is the card I made.
The pie is cut from the SMILEY CARDS cartridge. I embossed the pie filling with the Swiss Dots folder, and inked around the pie crust with Tim Holtz Antique Linen and a little bronze ink. I gave the pie a dollop of whipped cream from the LOVE YOU A LATE cartridge. The strawberries are cut from the PRESERVES cartridge. The strawberries paper is a glittered red paper that I inked with gold and bronze. The label is from the LIVE SIMPLY cartridge. It is inked in red. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Food For Thought stamp set.
I finished the card with two little Martha Stewart brads and a pretty red ribbon and bow. The papers used are Martha Stewart and The Paper Source.

When I found out about a love song blog hop, it was less than a moment's time when my favorite came to mind. It is O Mio Babbino Caro, ("O My Beloved Father"),a soprano aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini to a libretto by Giovacchino Forzano. It is sung by Lauretta when her father, Schicchi and the family of the boy she loves, Runiccio, are in conflict. Her father threatens to take her away to separate her from Runiccio. It is at this moment she sings this beautiful to her father begging him not to take her away.
O mio babbino caro, Mi piace, e bello bello, Vo andare in porta rossa A comperar l anello! Si, si ci voglio andare E se l amassi indarno Andrei sui ponte vecchio Ma per buttaarmi in arno! Mi struggo e mi tormento! O dio, vorrei morir! Babbo, pieta, pieta! Babbo, pieta, pieta!
The English Translation Oh my beloved daddy
I love him he's so handsome
I would go to Porta Rossa
To buy the ring
Yes, yes, I love him
And if my love was in vain
I would go to the old bridge
And throw myself in the Arno
I fret and suffer torments
Oh god, I'd rather die
Daddy have pity, have pity
Daddy have pity, have pity
Now that you know my favorite love song and the words, here is my card.
The setting of the opera is Florence Italy. So I wanted the base mat to reflect the color of the tile roofs of the old city.
The bridge on the card, cut from the EVERYDAY PAPER DOLLS cartridge, is representative of Porte Vecchio.
The teal mat represents the River Arno.
And the pink mat is there because I sang this aria in a gorgeous pink gown at my Senior Recital in college. It was a day I had worked long and hard for. O MIO BABBINO CARO was the encore. It is a day I will never forget. And I will have to give a big THANK YOU to my Aunt Elizabeth, who studied voice and opera at the Conservatory of Music in Birmingham Al. When she heard that I was majoring in music in college, she gave me all of her sheet music. I have kept it as a family treasure. My Aunt Elizabeth died sixteen years ago. If she were alive today, she too would love this card.
The heart border was cut with a Martha Stewart punch. The little flowers are from K&Company. And the sentiment is cut from one of m favorite cartridges, QUARTER NOTE.
While many a soprano has sung this beautiful song, my favorite to hear is the late great Maria Callas. I hope you too will enjoy her lovely voice.
Now it is time for you to hop on over to Evelyn at My Little Craft Bug. Enjoy the hop and enjoy the music!
This is a 2 day hop so be sure to come back tomorrow for some more inspiration! :)

This week the theme for the challenge at My Sheri Crafts is LOVE IS IN THE AIR. In addition to Valentine's Day coming up, February is Heart month. Love your Valentine, love your Heart and let's see at least two Hearts on your project
Isn't this just a happy heart card!
I began making the card with a sketch I have used before from Mojo Monday. This sketch is one of my favorites from 2011.
The aqua mat paper is from the Cool Mint linen textured cardstack from JoAnns'. The pattern and glitter paper is from Martha Stewart. I cut the four strips at 1"X4". The circles were cut at 1". The border punch is from Martha Stewart.
The two hearts are cut from the Cricut cartridge SWEETHEARTS. I added little aqua gems from Recollections to the large heart to give the card some bling. I just love bling of any kind on cards! The small heart is topped with an aqua and white damask brad from Oriental Trading. Isn't it just adorable!! It came is a package of brads from Oriental Trading. These little brads are are so cute. There are several designs in the package. To finish off the small heart, I tied a little aqua and white twine bow to it. The sentiment is from the K Andrew Designs stamp set I Heart You.
Please go visit My Sheri Crafts to see the beautiful inspiration from our Design Team. Link up your project that includes two hearts to My Sheri Crafts so we can see how you celebrate your valentine and your heart. And remember to take care of your heart. You only have one!
