Cooking With Cricut #61

This week the challenge at Cooking With Cricut about candles, wreathes, and or pine cones.  First, let me say that my Gypsy died this weekend so I had to use my Cricut without it.  I have not used the Cricut without the Gypsy in over a year.  Needless to say, I had to get the Cricut manual out to refresh myself on cutting with a cartridge.  How soon we forget.  I talked to Provo Craft today and was told that it would be replaced with a new one.

Now on to my project, (made without a Gypsy).

This is an A2 card.  The card base is Kraft paper with a pale pink mat.  I embossed a white mat with snowflakes and then inked it with a pale blue ink.  The wreath is cut from Christmas Cheer.  I added some little white pearls to the wreath and then topped the wreath with some pine leaves cut from a Martha Stewart punch and three little pale pink roses.  I added a little border to the top from K&Co.

The sentiment, "Merry Christmas" is from the Winter Wishes stamp set by K Andrew Designs.

These stamps are fabulous because they can be mixed and matched in so many different ways.  All of  Kristal's stamps are made here in the USA and a portion of the proceeds goes to charity.  Just buying the stamps makes you feel good.  Go check them out HERE.

Please head on over to the Cooking With Cricut Blog and see what the fabulous Design Team has created this week for you.   Drop by their blogs and leave them some love.  Then, we want to see what you will create with the theme candles, wreathes, and  or pine cones and link it up at  Cooking With Cricut.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  I hope you will come back often.

  1. This is so gorgeous and elegant, Charlotte!! I love the embossing and touch of pearls!!

    Lisa :)

  2. Such a pretty card. I love how your inking makes the embossing pop. Sorry about your Gypsy!

  3. What a pretty card! I love the non-traditional colours you've used - so soft and delicate!

  4. Oh my goodness... your Gypsy died!!! Say it isn't so. Something I am always afraid of. Your card is beautiful and I understand how hard it is to do without the Gypsy. A coupld of weeks ago I went to Chicago to visit my daughter and we spent the day crafting but I forgot the cord to connect it to the Cricut... so I too had to really stop and relearn what to do! Your card is beautiful, love it.

  5. Beautiful card - love the addition of the pearls :)

  6. Oh NOOOO Charlotte!! I couldn't imagine not having a Gypsy! I am so glad you will be getting a replacement!! I think your card is so pretty. I love the soft colors and the bling!!!

  7. Very feminine and love the colors with your pearls!
